M$ Internet Explorer
In order to understand why we have to look back in history to the European exploration and colonisation of a couple of continents. Now, except for the name, what has that to do with Micro$ofts aspiration for monopoly? Well, let's take a look at how they did in the old days.
When explored enough they sailed back and fetched the army. With it's help the colonisators first off all stole all the gold in the land.
When there was no more gold to steal they murdered a good deal of the people and enslaved the rest.
Finally they foisted their religon on them with brutal force.
Didn't think so.
About this aspiration for monopoly, why do I blame Micro$oft, doesn't every company want monopoly? Sure they do. But few of them puts such tremendous efforts in to achieve it. And even fewer succeeds. And as far as I know, in no case the result has been as disastrous.
In practise the only operating systems for PCs has been DOS, Windows and Windows95. Millions of people have suffered from the uselessness of these OSes. DOS began to be unmodern in the early/middle 80s. And we used it until 1995! What the heck did M$ do all these years? Developing Windows couldn't have taken more than a couple of weeks. ;-) It wasn't even an operating system!
OK, Win95 is definitely better. But how did they manage to
make it so damn large, buggy and unreliable? And why didn't they get it
out until 1995?!
The answer: Micro$oft is very close to monopoly in making
OSes. They can do whatever they want. No matter how bad it is people is
forced to use it anyway. Especially considering their extremely loud advertising.
In the end this will probably lead to the fall of Micro$oft. The
problem is that it could take a while.
Remember what happened to the Soviet Union.
Now Micro$oft has turned towards the Internet. We must stop them. Else we will in a soon future have the same hell as with the operating systems.
Talking about hell, did you know that Bill Gates is an incarnation of the Devil? Check out why!
There is one good thing with it though, it prevents Netscape from having the monopoly of making web browsers. It puts some pressure on them to release better programs faster. As I said above, monopoly is good in no case. What is important is not to let Micro$oft take over. They are the worst. Since there already are enough idiots using their Explorer it's highly important that you do not.
